In addition to the local church ministries, First Twelve Mile Baptist is involved with two additional ministries.
The first one is Sunrise Children's Services here in Kentucky. They provide foster care, residential care and offer family counseling. Sunrise helps children who have experienced trauma and other issues. We have a toy drive at Christmas for the children and financially support Sunrise monthly. The other ministry that we actively support is the Great Commission Fellowship Ministries in Utah. Richard and Michele Collins are ministering to the Navajo people on the reservation. They can be found on Facebook. They also have a summer camp for children called 5 Stones.
First Twelve Mile Baptist Church also has participated in mission trips to Alaska and other destinations, as well as places that have other needs as they arise.
